The Big Easy micro wedding package is designed for couples who want a wedding day that feels intentional, stylish and deeply meaningful, without the stress. It’s priced for 10 guests and twenty further can be included for a small pp cost.
This is a real wedding! It's simply scaled down to what actually matters. You still experience an aisle walk, music plays, flowers feature, promises are made, glasses are raised and photos are taken. There is just significantly less admin keeping you awake at night!
The Big Easy micro wedding is a true one-stop wedding solution. We’ve done the heavy lifting for you by researching and partnering with reliable and talented partner vendors. You simply choose from our beautifully pre-curated options, arrive on the day, and focus on the person you’re marrying, and the commitment you are making to your love.
Everything you need for a gorgeous, stress-free, seriously stylish wedding day is included:
- Marriage Officer: A registered Marriage Officer delivering a warm, heartfelt ceremony (with just the right amount of charm and humour). See me in 'action' HERE.
- Polly: our iconic mobile wedding chapel, bar and photo moment - bringing instant atmosphere and serious wow.
- Venue: A choice of carefully pre-selected venues, each with a distinct vibe and offering reception options ranging from relaxed picnics to elegant sit-down meals.
- Photographer: A professional wedding photographer - all wonderful humans, and all excellent at coaxing natural smiles from even the shyest couples.
- Music speaker: mood set!
- Florals include: A bridal bouquet or two boutonnieres, a statement vase arrangement, a petite vase for layered detail and a floral cake topper. Choose from six timeless colour palettes
- Cake: A selection of of designs and flavours that look as good as they taste. Really! See your choices HERE.
- Sparkling wine: Delish local bubbly, Miss Molly or similar quality.
Optional extras are available if you’d like to sprinkle a little more magic: stationery, confetti, additional florals or extra photography time - but the items already included make the day feel complete.

WHAT IS THE TONE OF YOUR CEREMONY?
Micro weddings and elopements by their nature are ceremony focused.
And we are very focussed on getting you married in a way that works for you. This means you have lots, and lots of say in the tone you'd like to set. You steer the ship with regards to your ceremony being secular or Christian, formal or fun.

Craig is your Christian Marriage Officer. His big heart and abundance of experience brings a quiet calm to religious ceremonies.
What's your venue vibe?
CASALINGA: This venue has it all. It offers a number of wonderful settings for a ceremony: chapel garden, banana tree backdrop, lemon orchard, take your pick! They also offer a superior dining experience, indoor and outdoor, and private dining rooms. They also offer on-site accommodation. Win, win and WIN!
BEECHWOOD GARDENS: This classic Hyde Park garden boasts four acres of lush beauty featuring an abundant rose garden, extensive pond, traditional colonnade and expansive raised vegetable garden. We Do Weddings offers catering and table decor at this venue. Being central to suburbia it is also the ideal venue from which to enjoy a post-wedding city dinner or hotel stay. As a superior venue, Beechwood attracts a financial surcharge and is best value if you plan a reception on site too.
GROUND: There is a vineyard in Jozi! Yes there is! And it offers a lovely year round photo backdrop. This property also has an attractive dappled wattle forest for ceremonies. The lux picnics and harvest table lunches (no dinner service) offered on site will cap off your wedding day beautifully. During high season, this venue will only accommodate micro weddings on weekdays, but we can try our luck for a weekend if your date is imminent.
THE GATSBY - HOUGHTON: This property was completed in 1918 and the moment you pass through the iron gates you are transported to another time. Elegant antique excess, art deco details, a grand facade and dappled ceremony spot are just some of its best features. Groups can enjoy a wonderful reception meal and stay overnight in one of the boutique hotel's romantic accommodations. This property is very opulent, and their reception costs reflect that.
LEWIS FAMILY FARM - LFF is a working farm in Centurion. Our ceremony set ups are willow and water vibe, or farm field and big tree vibe. We adore both. Oh. And did we mention that they have alpacas. Alpacas! Self catering is available on this lovely property.
INDUSTRIAL GARDEN: Victoria Yards is a re-developed inner city space that is home to a myriad of creative workshops. Its industrial vibe is perfectly offset by lawned courtyards and the rambling veggie garden that borders each pathway. This is an uber cool venue for an uber cool urban couple keen to enjoy city vibes on their wedding day. There is a fab little bar on site, and it's ideal if you'd like to move on to a suburban restaurant after your ceremony.
THE STONEHOUSE at Taroko Farm is a a stunning heritage building with expansive veranda, ample lawn, gardens and river frontage. It is located within the Modderfontein Nature Reserve just outside Sandton. They have a good variety of catering packages on offer for post-wedding celebrations. Suggested for weekdays as it's adjacent to a popular market on the weekends so can be a bit noisy.

At Big Easy weddings you will enjoy 90 mins of photography to cover your ceremony, friends and family, couples and portrait shots. This is included in your package price. We catch well over 100 moments in that time, but you can add extra time should you want some getting ready or behind the scenes pics. We encourage you to book extra time should your party be larger than 10. You'll have a sneak peak in about 10 days, and your edited online gallery in about six weeks, depending on the season.
WHICH FLOWERS ARE FAB?
Florals are vital and opulent and lovely at Big Easy weddings. And recommended at our Little Easy weddings too! In keeping with our commitment to avoid overwhelm, we have bundled them into six palettes. Wedding cakes have symbolised luck, prosperity, and sweet beginnings since ancient Roman times, when they were literally broken over the bride’s head!
Today, cake-cutting represents unity and the couple’s first official teamwork moment, and our cakes live up to the occasion. Made with real butter (never margarine… heavens), impossibly delicious, and filled with favourites like zingy lemon curd, decadent salted caramel, and rich chocolate ganache.
